ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 21st Jan, 2017 ) : The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) have apprehended 27 more electricity thieves in its various regions during its ongoing drive against power pilferers. An IESCO spokesman told APP on Saturday that 18 culprits were caught red-handed from Chakwal, five from Jhelum and four from Rawalpindi circles. He said the drive was launched on the directives of CEO Dr Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan. All the culprits were found involved in power theft through direct line (Kunda System) and by broken security strip of the meter, he added. He said FIRs had been lodged against the power thieves under the new Electricity (Amendment) Act.
