Funeral Prayer Of Parachinar Blast Victims Held

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jan, 2017 ) : The funeral prayer of the 20 blast victims held at Parachinar, Khurram Agency out of total 23 killed and dozens other injured when an IED blast planted in the vegetable market went off suddenly.
Inspectator General of Frontier Corps Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood, Brig Amir Muhammad Khan, Commandant Tall Bridge, Member National Assembly Sajid Topri, Political Agency Khurram Ikram Ullah, people from different walk of life, relatives of the deceased also attended the funeral prayers.
Soon after the prayers the bodies were handed over to the relatives and heirs of the deceased killed in the Parachinar blast. A shutter down strike was observed in the Parachinar city to condemn the blast that killed innocent people.
Tori Bangash tribes have demanded the brutal attack. The whole city wore deserted look. People of the area were angry. However, people mourn the deaths observing Saturday as a day of mourn and protest on a call from Youth of Parachinar, ISO and Tori-Bangash tribes and more organizations.
Moving scenes were witnessed at the time of the mass funeral. There were feelings of anger and sorrow over the tragedy that struck Parachinar following the IED blast in the crowded main bazaar at peak shopping hour at around 8.50 AM.
Meanwhile, elders of six Sunni tribes living in lower and central Kurram Agency held a meeting with to express their sorrow over the incident. Meanwhile, Governor KP Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak, former sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah, strongly condemned the Parachinar blast.
They also expressed sorrow and grief over loss of precious lives in the blast. Meanwhile, the serious injured were being shifted to CMH Peshawar in military helicopters. There were 23 persons killed and dozens other injured on Saturday morning.
The Quick Response Force of FC and Pakistan Army Helicopters were also participated in the relief. The Governor and Chief Minister directed the hospital authorities that all medical facilities would be provided to the injured.
They said that no one will be allowed to disturb peace in the country. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra in a statement termed the bomb blast as a cowardly act of terror. Governor said such terrorist attacks could not deter the national resolve to eliminate the wave of militancy and menace of terrorism.
The Governor said, those who play with innocent lives deserve no leniency and will be brought to court of justice at any cost. He said that the Pakistani nation stand united with military in the war against terror.
He said the operation against terrorists to curb the wave of militancy and terrorism will continue till the elimination of last terrorist. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information and Higher education, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak strongly condemned the attack in Parachinar and termed it cowardly act of anti-state elements.
They expressed grief over loss of precious lives as a result of bomb blast in a vegetables market and sympathized with the bereaved families. The said such desperate terrorists attack cannot shake resolve of the government to wipe out terrorism, adding terrorists have no religion and they were just enemies of humanity.
Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak also strongly condemned the incident and expressed his deepest grief on the loss of precious lives. He also inquired about the health of victims of Parachinar blast and directed the hospital administration to provide efficient medical facilities to the injured. APP/ijz/rn
