DBA Election To Be Held On Saturday

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2017 ) : Annual elections of District Bar Association (DBA) Faisalabad for the year 2017 will be held here on Saturday (January 21, 2017). The Police department has made tight security arrangements to provide safe and secure atmosphere to the lawyers for electing their favorite candidates.
A spokesman of the DBA said here Friday that one-to-one fight will be held between Rana Ali Abbas Khan Advocate and Ch Naveed Mukhtar Ghumman Advocate for President Seat whereas five candidates including Tahir Saeed Advocate, Muhammad Aslam Dogar Advocate, Rana Muhammad Zulfiqar Advocate, Malik Muhammad Siddique Advocate and Hajji Mehmood Akhtar Sheikh Advocate will contest elections for vice-president seat.
The close contest will also be held for General Secretary Seat between three candidates - Mian Muhammad Shafique Ahmad Advocate, Malik Mehmood Hussain Awan Advocate and Mian Mehran Tahir Advocate.
Ch Abu Bakar Abdullah Gujjar Advocate and Ch Kaleemullah Gill Advocate are contesting for joint secretary-ship while Rukhsana Ansar will face Fouzia Jabien for Finance Secretary Seat. Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Afzaal Kausar appointed more than 100 police Jawans along with one Superintendent Police, (SP), 2 Deputy Superintendents Police (DSPs), 2 Inspectors for security of DBA Elections.
The CPO said that 10 teams comprising of 200 police Jawans will be kept reserved whereas 4 teams of Elite Force will patrol around district Katchery premises to deal with any emergent situation.
