NA Body Visits Hindu Temple

QEUTTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th july,2016) : A Sub-Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Inter-Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony visited Hindu temple and other places in the provincial capital, here on Thursday and stressed the need to provide security and all available facilities to minorities.
The NA body comprising the Convener, Ramesh Lal and the Member, Lal Chan along with Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs, Ilyas Khan and Joint Secretary of the National Assembly, Sajjad Ali Shah arrived in Quetta from Islamabad and they held meeting with the authorities concerned over the issues pertaining to minorities and others in the metropolis. The NA body proceeded to Quetta's Masjid road where it visited and inspected old Hindu temple, "Arya Samaj".
They also met with the elders of Hindu community at the temple. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Lal and Mr. Chan said that the authorities concern should have to pay special heed towards issues and problems faced by Hindu community and other minorities living in Balochistan including the provincial capital Quetta.
"Complete security and all available facilities should be provided to minorities in the province," they said. They emphasized the need that the issues pertaining to evacuee properties should also be resolved on priority basis. They stressed the need to take practical steps for promotion of inter-faith harmony as saying the inter-faith harmony could help in making our society peaceful.
They said that society should show passion of tolerance.
