Rs 3 Bln Released For Uplift Project In Tribal Areas

RAJANPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2017 ) : The Punjab government has issued Rs 3 billion funds to Tribal Area Development Authority (TADA) for uplift projects. The funds have been issued on request of Chairman National Assembly standing committee for foreign Affairs Sardar Owais Ahmad Leghari.
The project director of the TADA was directed to initiate the development work at roads of Koh-e-suleman, solar system, water supply schemes and solution of health related issues of baloch tribals and health centres.
The TADA Spokesperson community officer Aftab Ahmad said that record funds had been issued for tribal areas first time due to joint efforts of local parlimentarians. He informed the TADA had completed all uplift schemes within given time last year.
