HESCO Expedites Operation Against Power Theft And Recovery Of Outstanding Dues

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2017 ) : The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has carried out another massive operation on Thursday. According to HESCO spokesman, the surveillance teams unearthed one thousand illegal connections and disconnected 820 power connections on 16 villages of different districts of its region with removal of four tube well connections.
According to HESCO spokesman, the surveillance teams conducted operations in different parts of Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Thatta and Badin districts where they also recovered Rs. 0.715 million on account of outstanding dues from the defaulters.
The massive operation against power theft is being carried out following the directives of the Federal Secretary for Water and Power Muhammad Younus Dhaga in a meeting during his recent visit to Hyderabad, the spokesman informed.
