JUI(F) Seeks UN's Role In Resolving Kashmir Issue

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2017 ) : Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) Punjab Chief Maulana Muhammad Ajmal Khan on Thursday urged the United Nations (UN) to play its role in resolving Kashmir issue peacefully.
"It is duty of the world body to pressurise New Delhi to stop genocide of innocent and unarmed Kashmiris in the Valley," he added. Speaking to a delegation of Ulema and religious scholars at Jamia Rehmania, he said that Kashmir was an integral part of Pakistan and Kashmiris' decades long struggle for freedom was nearing success.
He said that getting its resolution implemented was the responsibility of the UN. Despite Pakistan's concern, he said, India had deployed almost 700,000 troops in occupied Kashmir, adding that Indian troops were killing innocent people and violating basic human rights in IOK.
He also urged the international human rights organizations to use their influence for stopping of flagrant human rights violations in the Indian occupied Kashmir. He eulogised Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for boldly highlighting Kashmir issue at every international fora.
The JUI (F) leader asked India to immediately stop bloodshed in occupied Kashmir, underlining that Pakistan wants peaceful resolution of every outstanding issue with India.
