Committee Constituted To Examine Bacha Khan Airport Condition

ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2017 ) : The Senate on Wednesday adopted a resolution to constitute a Special Committee to examine the existing condition of Bacha Khan airport in Peshawar.

The resolution to constitute a committee was moved in the House by Leader of the House Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq as was directed the other day by Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani on a demand by Senators from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The Senators had drawn the attention of Minister Incharge Cabinet Division and the House towards dilapidated condition of one of the oldest airports in the country.

The House unanimously adopted the motion that provides that all members of the Senate from KP province shall be members of the Committee who will visit the airport, examine its condition and mention to requirements for expansion and renovation work.

The Special Committee shall elect its Convener at its first meeting and report of the Committee shall be presented to the House not later than two months time from the date of notification of the committee.
