20 Arrested On Charges Of Power Stealing

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2017 ) : The PESCO authorities arrested 20 people on charges of power stealing in different areas of provincial capital. The Pesco teams under the supervision of Nadeem Afridi XEN Cantt division Peshawar checked various premises in the jurisdiction of Gulberg, University Town-2 and Kohat Road sub divisions along with Pesco police and nabbed 20 persons on charges of using electricity through direct connections, said PESCO press release.
FIRs have been lodged against them and have been arrested. Those arrested are Irfan s/o BahadarKhan, Sikandar s/o Israeel, Zeb s/o Aurangzeb, Wiqar S/o Nizam, ImranHussain S/o Faqir Hussain, Akhtar Shah S/o Akbar Shah, Raza Khan S/o Masil Khan, Rehman Ullah S/o Sami Ullah, Luqman Ali S/o Usman Ali, Jahanzeb s/o Taza Gul, Abad Ahmad S/o Fida Ahmad, Waseem S/o Sikandar, Riaz S/o Wisal, Khanzeb S/o Irshad, Faqir Hussain S/o Jamal Hussain, Shazad S/o Imran Ullah, Malang Khan s/o Misal Khan, Shakeel s/o Akhtar Gul, Ijaz S/o Shah Jehan, Mazhar S/o Muhammad Ali Khah.
The Spokesman said drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks will continue and warned to stop power pilferage otherwise be ready for strict action.
