Hong Kong stocks rally by break

HONG KONG, , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2017 ) - Hong Kong shares rallied on Wednesday morning, extending a healthy start to the year, with energy firms boosted by a pick-up in oil prices.

The Hang Seng Index added 1.14 percent, or 260.

43 points, to 23,101.40. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.29 percent, or 8.94 points, to 3,117.71 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.20 percent, or 3.73 points, to 1,869.29.
