UET, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Signs MoU

PESHAWAR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2017 ) : UET Peshawar and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) have signed a Letter of Collaboration (LoC) to harness experts and resources from both institutions to collaborate effectively in the field of engineering.
Prof Dr Mohammad Nasir bin Tamim Deputy Dean (Research and innovation) and Vice-Chancellor UET Peshawar, Prof Dr Iftikhar Hussain signed the LoC in the presence of Heads of Departments, here Tuesday.
Dr Iftikhar Hussain in his address said, that this collaboration will enable faculty and researchers to synergize with each other in research and development. With this signed LoC, both universities have agreed that collaboration shall involve Research and Development (R&D) activities, and faculty & student exchange to further enhance the research particularly in mechanical engineering.
Prof Dr Nasir, said, UTM strongly believes in collaborating with reputable universities of the region to ensure that research conducted promotes universal prosperity. "There are more than 300 Pakistani scholars studying and teaching at UTM," adding, "this collaboration between UET Peshawar and UTM will further pave the way for research collaboration in state of the art fields.
Dr Adil Khatak, faculty member of Mechanical Engineering, UTM, Prof Dr Noor Mohammad, Dean, Faculty of Engineering UET Peshawar, Registrar UET Peshawar Dr Khizar Azam, Prof Dr M Naeem Khan, Chairman Mechanical Engineering, UET Peshawar Dr Saeed Gul Director ORIC, Dr Alamzeb, Manager ORIC were also present on the occasion.
