PESCO BoD Shows Outstanding Performance During 2016

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2017 ) : Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) during 2016 succeeded in completion of large number of development works to provide facilities to its consumers.
Under the chairmanship of the Chairman, Board of Directors (BoD) Malik Muhammad Asad Khan number of new grid stations were constructed, several grids were upgraded and a large number of new 11 KV feeders were energized across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Due to these developmental activities electricity distribution system was improved which was highly appreciated by the public. Similarly, due to Chairman BoD Malik Muhammad Asad Khan personal's interest expenditure of several projects has been curtailed and saved more than Rs 630 million to the company.
It includes decrease in tender expenditure of PC Pole Jahangira in which an amount of Rs 620 million were saved. Similarly,the expenditure of two under construction blocks in Wapda Colony Shami Road has been restricted to Rs 65 million instead of Rs 75 million and saved an amount of Rs 11 million.
The building of Transformer Reclamation Workshop SaraiNorang, which was completed but not handed over to PESCO due to some reasons. Due to the efforts of the Chairman BoD Wapda, occupied the building and saved Rs 3.6 million for PESCO.
The Chairman BoD gave top priority to quality and standard in the construction works resulting excellent workd.Similarly important steps have been taken to facilitate customers which was hailed by the general public.
Keeping in view this tremendous performance of BoD PESCO, Govt of Pakistan and Ministry Water & Power decided that BoD PESCO to continue functioning. Hence PESCO BoD next meeting will be held on 23rd January at Wapda House Peshawar.
The management of the PESCO has hailed the decision and vowed to continue the launching of new developmental projects and provision of facilities to the consumers under the board directions.
