6-day 'Remove Weeds' Campaign From Feb 20

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2017 ) : Punjab Agriculture Department will launch a six-day `Remove Weeds' campaign from February 20 to ensure healthy crops and increase in their production.

All department employees have been advised to play their role in making the campaign a success. Director General Agriculture Extension Punjab Dr Anjum told APP, here on Monday.

He said that weeds in different crops, especially those affecting our main crops like cotton, will be focus of the campaign.

During the campaign, weeds would be removed from fields through the best possible techniques and available resources. Officials from Revenue, Agriculture departments including patwaris, lumberdars and people from different sectors would be part of committees, which will assist farmers in removing weeds from their fields.
