Farmers Organizations Support Govt's Steps: Kissan Mahaz

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jan, 2017 ) : Chief of Kissan Mahaz Ayub Khan Mayu on Saturday said farmers organizations would support all positive steps of the government. "Talking to APP, he said: "We want to protect interests of farmers in collaboration with the government".
He hailed the government's step for giving subsidy on fertilizers and urged upon the authorities to keep an eye on profiteers so that subsidy on fertilizers could reach to cultivators. Ayub Mayu said the farming sector was badly ignored by rulers of the past despite the fact economy of the country was largely dependent on agriculture.
He said sincere and long term efforts were needed for progress of the agriculture sector. Kissan Mahaz Chief expressed hope that the government would work for welfare of farmers in future too.
