French Prosecutors To Probe Renault Diesel Emissions

PARIS, , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jan, 2017 ) - French investigators will probe automaker Renault over suspected "cheating" in emissions tests of diesel motors, the Paris prosecutors office said Friday.
Following a massive emissions scandal involving German carmaker Volkswagen, independent French experts found dangerously high levels of emissions from diesel engines of several carmakers, including Renault.
Renault shares dropped sharply on the Paris stock exchange on the news, trading 4.3 percent lower at 82.58 Euros around 1005 GMT, having opened over one percent higher.
