Govt Taking Steps To Modernise Madaris: Muhammad Yousaf

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jan, 2017 ) : Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Friday said that the government is taking steps for the modernisation of madrasas.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, the Minister said efforts were being made to introduce modern education in Madaris of the country.
Muhammad Yousaf further said that recitation of the Holy Quran would be made compulsory till class 5th and its reading with meaning from class 6th to 12th.
He stressed the need to bring reforms in religious ceremonies and formal education system for balancing the Islamic and modern education in the curriculum.
