ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2017 ) : Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Law and Justice Barrister Zafar ullah Khan said on Thursday the political elements playing with Panama papers issue had been unsuccessful in achieving desired results.
He said the elements had been highlighting the issue of Panama during the election campaigns of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, local government and cantonments, but the people showed full trust in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership.
The PML-N had won the elections with the full support and vote of the people, he added. Talking to a private news channel, he said the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) were two major opposition parties.
The PPP had learned a lot from the past and signed the charter of democracy (CoD), he said, adding that it would hopefully not take any step for derailing the democratic system. The PTI was an immature party, whose only motto was to come into power, he added.
