WWF To Establish Polytechnic Institute For Girls In Zhob

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2017 ) : Workers Welfare Funds (WWF) attached department of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) would establish a polytechnic institute for girls in District Zhob Balochistan.
Secretary WWF briefed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development,the meeting was held here on Thursday at Parliament House under chairmanship of Aisha MNA.
The meeting was attended by Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan, Ch. Abid Raza, Chaudhry Muhammad Munir Azhar, Syed Sajid Mehdi, Mian Najeebuddin Awaisi, Mian Imtiaz Ahmad, Malik Muhammad Uzair Khan, Sabiha Nazir, Suraiya Jatoi, Sheikh Salahuddin, Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai and Nasir Khan MNAs were present in the meeting, besides the senior officers from Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and HRD.
He said that Balochistan Government has submitted a PC-I for establishment of polytechnic institute for girls at Zhob. Secretary worker welfare fund briefed the Committee about the pension of employees of Workers Welfare Fund (WWF).
He said that the services of WWF, employees are non- pensionable and there is no proposal underconsidiration to make their services as pensionable.
He added that regular employees of fund secretariat are eligible for gratuity in lieu of pension.
He further informed the Committee that WWF employees are satisfied with their salary package. The Committee recommended to WWF for submission of break-wise project details in all provinces. The Committee further recommended that WWF will furnish details of flats owned by WWF with their occupants in the country.
The Secretary briefed the Committee about the budgetary procedure of WWF. The Committee members showed their concern about the non- payment of salaries to the provincial welfare employees by the Government.
However the Committee was informed by the Secretary WWF that legal employees have been issued salary in KPK. The Committee recommended that trained workers should also be given opportunities to work abroad, especially skilled workers.
The Committee recommended to WWF for coordinating with the members of the Committee regarding their visits to local offices of WWF. The Committee approved the minutes of the last meeting, which was held on January 5, 2017.
