SU Organizes Workshop On Quality Assurance Procedures

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2017 ) : The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) University of Sindh Thursday organized a training workshop on Quality Assurance Procedures and Advanced Computing Skills for Research Supervisors in collaboration with Office of the Research Innovations and Commercialization (ORIC) and Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Institute of Information and Communication Technology.
Director QEC Dr Shahzad Ahmed Memon in his�presentation highlighted the aims and objectives of the workshop, including understanding about the HEC Quality Assurance Procedures, knowledge about ICT services available for researchers, awareness regarding HEC plagiarism policy and use of turnitin service to avoid plagiarism, advanced MS Word skills for MS/ MPhil/PhD thesis writing, learning the use of reference management systems for research and making use of effective presentation skills for research seminars.
During the workshop, detailed presentations would be presented on Quality Assurance and its parameters, effective usage of available ICT services, Plagiarism, HEC Plagiarism and use of Turnitin Service, advanced microsoft Office skills for researchers, reference management services and practice on automatic referencing services were given to an eager audience of young and zestful faculty and advanced level students/ researchers from across the university and its constituent campuses.
Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Memon, Director QEC, Dr. Kamran Brohi, Web Administrator, Munir Mirjat, Deputy Director, QAA, HEC, Bilal Ahmed Shaikh, certified MS Office Professional, Gexton Systems, Dr. Zeeshan Bhatti, Assitant Professor, IICT would coduct different sessions in the workshop.
