Anti-terrorism Operation Being Conducted To Target Criminals: Talal

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th july,2016) : Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Talal Chaudhry has said anti-terrorism operation is being conducted in different parts of the country to eliminate this menace. While talking to ptv, he said Federal government had taken all decisions on Karachi operation with the consensus of all stakeholders including the Sindh government and credit for its success also goes to the provincial government. Talal dispelled the impression that operation was underway only in Karachi and said that anti-terrorism operation was being carried out by the law enforcement agencies in other parts of the country as well. He referred to a past incident in Punjab where Rangers and Pakistan Army were called to conduct the operation against criminals.
"Rangers are performing duties in Sindh on the request of provincial government to maintain law and order", he said. Talal said people, business community and political parties in the mega city had demanded for Rangers' operation in view of miserable security situation there. He said as all stakeholders have acknowledged visible improvement in law and order situation in Karachi, so they are supporting extension in Rangers' powers. He said Karachi is economic hub of the country and peace in the metropolitan is linked to the peace of the entire country.
It was responsibility of the Sindh government to improve good governance and enhance professional competence of Police so it could handle security matters, he added.
