1.325 Mln Children Given Polio Drops In Sagodha Div Last Year

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2017 ) -Commissioner Sargodha division Nadeem Mehboob has directed the district administration and Health department to make all out efforts for immunizing every child against polio.

Chairing a meeting of divisional anti-polio task force he said that after the efforts of Punjab government so far no case of polio was has come up.The meeting was briefed by health officials that Sargodha division immunized 5,97,449 children against polio and met 103 percent results as given target was to vaccinate 5,77,584 children.

The health officials briefed that in Khushab district 1,91,251 children were immunized as compared to the given target of 1,83,178 children with 104 percent results,while 260000 children were immunized in Mianwali district out of set target of 2,41,561 with 108 percent results.

A total of 2,76,411 children's vaccination goal was given and 106 percent results were received as 261000 children were vaccinated in the Bhakkar district. The health department was also doing compulsory vaccination of all children free of cost.
