Karachi, (Pakistan Point News – 27th July, 2016) : According to media reports on Wednesday, authorities have failed to acquire CCTV footage concerning martyrdom of two Pakistan Army personnel because camera was covered due to bees hive on it. The negligence of the security department of the city came into notice while repairing team arrived at the scene to examine the dysfunctionality of the CCTV camera and found bees hive over it due to negligence of authorities.
The camera has been stopped functioning for long but the authorities did not take any notice of it. Prior today funeral prayers of two martyred army personnel were offered in their hometowns. Lance Naik Abdul Razzaq was laid to rest in Naushahro Feroze while funeral prayer of Sepoy Khadim Hussain was offered in Dadu. Dr Kaleem Shaikh, at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical College, said while talking to AFP that both army personnel were attacked by motorcycle gunmen, who opened fire on their vehicle on Tuesday in the southern area of Karachi.
Both were shot in the head and face. Razzaq died after reaching hospital while Hussain also died of his wounds after some time. Sindh police has shaped a special team to investigate the occurrence. According to beginning investigation, it is suspected that the attackers might have used a bag while firing 9mm pistols as no bullet shells were recovered from the crime scene. Reward of Rs5 million has been announced by the Sindh Home Ministry for anyone who provides information regarding attackers.
Pakistan initiated most important operations to detain terrorists and criminals in Karachi in 2013 and intensity of violence have declined considerably since then. Preceding December two army men were killed in a parked military vehicle in Saddar area; a few kilometres away from Tuesday s incident. Karachi police chief Mustaq Mehar said investigators would examine both incidents to establish any link between them.
