Sardar Yusuf Visits NPC, Congratulates New Office Bearers

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jan, 2017 ) : Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yusuf Wednesday visited National Press Club (NPC) and congratulated its newly elected office bearers.

He said the election of press club members every year was a good convention and appreciated the role, cooperation and coverage of media regarding matters of interfaith harmony, Nazam-e-Salat on same time, and mashakh-e-Ulema-e-Islam committee.

He said media played a vital role in continuity of democratic system and even helped to strengthen it, which was proved beneficial for the country and masses.

He said the NPC had collaboration and participation in perpetuating the democracy.

The Hajj arrangements were excellent this year and media had fully appreciated and supported it, he said adding the ministry would put its full effort to restore Hajj quota for the journalist this year.

He said census was going to be held soon and after census quota of hajj would also be increased obviously. He said the ministry would give priority for Hajj to those who were new applicants and going to perform hajj first time.
