Solid Measures Being Taken To Implement CPEC Projects: Khurram

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july, 2016) : Minister for Commerce, Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan Tuesday said that all apprehensions regarding the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had subsided and the government was now taking solid measures for the implementation of CPEC. "The projects under CPEC has now become visible on the ground and in the years to come, the people of Pakistan will witness a rapid development in the country due to the $46 billion mega project", Khurram Dastgir said while addressing a press conference here. Commenting on the recent land-sliding victory of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the minister said that people of the country and the AJK had now understood that who were sincere to bring prosperity and development. He said they had now understood that it was PML-N government who helped reducing energy crisis, terrorism and inflation in the country. The minister said that the people of AJK had rejected the looters and plunderers and they had selected the development lovers. Rejecting any allegation of rigging in the recent elections of AJK, Khurram Dastgir claimed that those were the most free, fair and transparent elections in history of AJK as no serious vice was heard in this regard from any political party. He said the elements who were alleging for rigging in the AJK elections should have to pass through a judicial test and they must had to prove their allegations. Khurram Dastgir said that the AJK elections had now opened the eyes of the opponents of the PML-N as they had now started talking about improving good governance in their respective provinces.
"This is a good sign and is a beauty of democracy that instead of alleging each other, the political parties focus their attention over their own performance", Khurram added. He hoped that before next general elections in the country, there would be the competition of good governance among the provinces during next two years. He assured that the PML-N government would continue their constructive politics. He said the people of AJK also expressed their confidence over the PML-N due to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's continued efforts to raise vices against Indian atrocities in Indian Held Kashmir at the international forum. He said the Prime Minister raised vice of Pakistan at the United National Security Council in 2014 and 2015 and also at the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) Summit held in October 2015, where he urged the Muslim countries to speak for allowing Kashmiries to use their right of self determination. He said after general elections 2013, five major elections were held in the country and in all of them, PML-N get victory due to its performance. To a question, the minister said that the existing trade between Pakistan and India would not be affected due to the recent tension over Kashmir issue. However, he said Pakistan would not step back from its principle stance over Kashmir issue on any cost. He said further talks between the two countries over bilateral trade could not be held till improving of diplomatic relations.
