Tokyo Stocks Close Lower As Yen Rises

TOKYO, , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jan, 2017 ) - Tokyo stocks closed lower on Tuesday with exporters falling as the Yen climbed against the Dollar on falling oil prices and concerns about Britain's plans to exit the European Union.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.79 percent, or 152.89 points, to 19,301.44 while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.71 percent, or 11.01 points, at 1,542.31.
