Minister Directs Irrigation Officials To Address Farmers Problems

PESHAWAR, Jan 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Jan, 2017 ) : The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Irrigation Sikandar Hayat Sherpao has directed the concerned high-ups to immediately resolve the problems of Peshawar suburb irrigated areas' farmers and complete all the projects within stipulated peroid.
He said this while meeting with different delegations of farmers at the residence of QWP leader Hasham Babar at Mathra, Peshawar, on Monday. Minister for Irrigation said this would not only solve their problems for growing better crops but could play a vital role in economic development of the country.
Delegates belonging to Sufaid Sang,Dag Lara,Deri Kali,Dag Terao,Ali Muhammad Garhi,Gari Mustajab,Patwar Bala and Yar Ghaljo met the Minister and apprised him about their problems regarding the irrigation system.
Peshawar Circle XEN and other relevant officers of the department were also present on the occasion. The Minister remarked that the said areas of Peshawar valley were most agrarian and majority of the people were associated with farming so the provincial government was trying to resolve the issues to improve the irrigation system in the areas.
The Minister directed for immediate action on various irrigation projects and directed the concerned officers to contact local public in every irrigation project and incorporate their opinion and demands in the entire projects.
