Wapda Wins National Women Weightlifting Title

LAHORE, Jan 5 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : Showing superior lifting abilities and undying approach, Wapda's female lifters won the title of the 3rd National Weightlifting Championship, here on Thursday at Railways Stadium.
Wapda's girls were far ahead in technique and stamina and they outshone their respective opponents with an awesome performance of scooping five gold, one silver and one bronze. Wapda remained unchallengeable in the premier activity and collected 91 points.
Behind them were the hosts Pakistan Railways with 76 points as Pakistan Army finished at the third place, obtaining 50 points. Altogether eight teams including Wapda, Railways, Army, Islamabad, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh participated in the three-day event.
