ISLAMABAD, Jan 5 (Pakistan Point News - APP - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to expand the sanitation drive from Peshawar to the entire province. Local government department secretary Syed Jamaluddin said garbage would be lifted from roads and streets from all the districts in first phase of the campaign, reported private news channel. He said the provincial government decided that all the tehsil municipal officers would make planning for lifting the garbage and dumping it at appropriate places.
It was decided that each village council would be bound to include a water drainage project in its annual development programme according to the government approved standards, he added. Syed Jamaluddin said the councils with larger population would be given special importance in this campaign. The special sanitation campaign in Peshawar was underway since January 01 and would conclude on Saturday.
