Plan To Register Public, Private Ambulances

DG KHAN, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : The Punjab government has decided to register public and private ambulances. District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122, Dr Natiq Hayat said that ambulances would not be allowed to work without registration.
He said the purpose of registration of ambulances was to maintain the record of public, private and NGOs' ambulances and their drivers. He said the registered ambulances would be called in emergency like situation while the task had been given to Rescue 1122 for registration.
He informed that legal action would be taken for not getting registered ambulances by January 31.
He said that special desks had been set up at central Rescue 1122 station Chopar Hatta and tehsil Taunsa where ambulances owners could get their ambulances registered from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
He advised the ambulances owners to bring documents and submit an affidavit also. He said the record of ambulances and drivers would be maintained. The DEO further said that Rescue 1122 would issue a certificate and these ambulances would shift the patients in case of accident. He said that registration of ambulances would play an important role in such circumstances.
