MNA Seeks Funds For Early Completion Of Khanpur Dam Project

RAWALPINDI, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : Member National Assembly Malik Ibrar Ahmed said Khanpur Dam project phase 3 was still not completed and more funds were required for its completion.
He was talking to Chairman Standing Committee on Information Technology Capt (R) Muhammad Safdar at Punjab House here Tuesday. Among others, Vice President Rawalpindi Cantonment board Malik Munir, Vice President Chaklala Cantonment Raja Irfan Imtiaz and other officials were present on the occasion.
Malik Ibrar expressed the fear that if the project was not completed on time it would lead to big financial loss and cause scarcity of water in the Cantonment area. Similarly, the MNA said Cantonment hospital needs funds for its smooth functioning so that the Cantt residents could benefit from the facility.
Capt (R) Muhammad Safdar assured his full support and said he would talk to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for providing funds for the project's early completion.
