2016 worst year for consumers: Baig

KARACHI, Jan 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : Chairman of Standing Committee for Consumer Rights Protection Shakeel Baig has said that 2016 was the worst year for consumers. Chairing a committee meeting here, he said though all the industries and companies were dependant on consumers, but the prices of edibles remained high during the whole year.

"In other countries, the consumers are provided relief by the companies whereas here the discounts are only offered to dispose of old material", he added. Shahid Baig said K-Electric had failed to manage the power outage issue in city. He alleged that the consumers were issued excessive bills, but the power outage remained one of the serious issues.
