Mass Celebrations Of Landslide Victory Of PML (N) Continues In AJK

MIRPUR (AJK) ,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 26th july,2016): People representing all segments of civil society are constantly praising the land-slide victory of PML (N) in Azad Jammu Kashmir describing it the manifestation of full confidence and trust in the high visionary progressive peoples-friendly policies of the party under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the country including AJK. Azad Jammu & Kashmir would emerge a true model welfare state during the newly-elected government of PML (N) AJK in line with the high vision of the party's central and local leadership, through the delivery and implementation of broad-based public welfare projects harmonious to the need of the modern age at the pattern of the country's largest Punjab province and various other parts of the country. The landslide victory of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) in the recent general elections in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, is being widely celebrated by the masses across the State - who have described it the unprecedented triumph of the democratic forces especially the common man in the street. The official results of the AJK general elections spoke of the categorical success of the PML (N) which secured 32 seats, Muslim Conference and PPP secured three seats each, PTI got two seats and the solitary seat won by an independent candidate on 41- directly contested seats of the 49-member AJK Legislative Assembly. Rest of eight seats including five reserved for women, and one each meant for ulema / mashaikh, technocrats and overseas Kashmiris will be filled in by the electoral college comprising the newly-elected 41 members of the house.

Commenting on the exceptional success in the elections, Mir Muhammad Sideeque Khawaja, a social worker and an independent political analyst, observed that the land slide victory was already being expected - because of the five-year poorest performance of the PPP in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Talking to APP here late Monday Mir Sideeque Khawaja, Chairman of Kashmir Watch International, termed the victory of `N' in AJK similar to that of the party's landslide success in AJK elections at the pattern of 2013-general elections in the country, is primarily the success of the common man of AJK, who was anxiously waiting for the return of a regime of good governance in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

In this connection, he underlined that good governance had become a dream in AJK during the outgoing five-year PPP rule in the State - since the concept of good governance found disappeared during whole of the five-year term of PPP in power in AJK. Commenting on the success of PML (N) in AJK polls, an ex minister of AJK Mrs.

Naheed Tariq said , observed that it has emerged that a common man has individually contested the election against the outgoing PPP regime in AJK - which left extreme poverty, unemployment among educated and skilled youth besides the bad governance as the remnant of their five-year rule in Azad Jammu Kashmir", she added. Talking to APP here late Monday, the seasoned lady politician of AJK continued that it was, in fact, the expression of the posing of full confidence in the broad-based healthy policy of PML (N) under the highly vision leadership of the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue - the basic priority of the government at the base camp of the Kashmir freedom struggle - besides for the speedy progress and prosperity of AJK territory without any discrimination at par with the fast emerging developed parts of Pakistan, she opined.
