JERUSALEM (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2020) Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday, following his meeting with the mother of Israeli national, Naama Issachar, who is currently jailed in Russia on drug charges, that everything would be "fine."
Earlier on Thursday, Russia's High Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova's office said the ombudswoman would visit Issachar in jail.
"[On Thursday], Russia's human rights ombudswoman will visit Naamu. Her mother is very worried, I can see that. I told her and I want to repeat it again � everything will be fine," Putin said.
Putin was accompanied to the meeting with Issachar's mother by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Following their meeting, the Russian leader said he knew Netanyahu's position on the case of the jailed Israeli woman and would consider it when making a decision whether or not to grant Issachar a pardon.
