WEF Executive Chairman Calls On PM

DAVOS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jan, 2020 ) :Executive Chairman of World Economic Forum (WEF) Prof. Dr. Klaus Schwab on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at WEF Congress Center in Davos.
The prime minister congratulated Prof. Schwab on the 50th anniversary of WEF and said the issues being highlighted by WEF this year were also relevant to Pakistan.
The Government of Pakistan, he said, was addressing the impacts of climate change through implementation of "Clean Green Pakistan Programme", including plantation of 10 billion trees.
The prime minister stated that Pakistan was also focusing on skills' enhancement for the youth as it considered its significant youth population as driver of economic growth.
He expressed the desire that the WEF could partner with Pakistan on important social welfare initiatives for poverty alleviation and education.
