President Trump to visit Pakistan: FM Qureshi says

President Trump assured Prime  Minister Imran Khan regarding his visit to Pakistan and said that he would talk to Indian PM Modi on Kashmir.

ISLAMABAD: (Urdu Point/Pakistan Point News-Jan 22nd, 2020) US President Donald Trump assured Prime Minister Imran Khan that he would visit Pakistan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi calimed here on Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Qureshi said that he gave assurance during an hour-long meeting held in Davos. The foreign minister said he was present in the meeting between US President Trump and PM Imran Khan where many others issued came under discussion.

The FM also asked the President to support Pakistan to get rid of grey list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to which President Trump said he would.

The hour-long meeting between PM Khan and President Trump remained very fruitful, he claimed. There was also discussion on trade between both leaders, said Qureshi adding that an American delegation would visit Pakistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also briefed President Trump about the current situation in Occupied Kashmir on which the US President expressed serious concerns. Trump said that he would talk to Indian PM Modi on Kashmir.

“I like Imran Khan and trust him,” President Trump was quoted as saying about PM Imran Khan. He was also briefed about the repercussions of Iranian issue on Pakistan. Pakistan Peace efforts for Afghanistan also came under discussion and Trump’s entire team was also present there in the meeting, he added.
