Defence Ministry assures conditional release of Col (retired) Inamur Rahim

Government has assured conditional release of Counsel of missing persons Colonel (retired) Inamur RahimA three-member bench of Supreme Court (SC), presided over by Justice Mushir Alam took up the case pertaining to release of Counsel of missing persons for hearing on Wednesday

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 22nd January, 2020) Government has assured conditional release of Counsel of missing persons Colonel (retired) Inamur RahimA three-member bench of Supreme Court (SC), presided over by Justice Mushir Alam took up the case pertaining to release of Counsel of missing persons for hearing on Wednesday.During the course of hearing, defence ministry assured conditional release of Col (retired).Attorney General informed the court that Col (retired) Inamur Rahim is ill and has taken to hospital again and again, he should submit his passport and also shouldn't go outside Rawalpindi, Islamabad".

Attorney General further said that for release he have to submit his laptop password besides co-operation in the process of investigation.Counsel of Inamur Rahim said that we submit passport and they should release his client, Inamur Rahim is in their custody for the last one month and 8 days.Justice Alam remarked, "Inamur Rahim will submit his passport and he will also co-operate in the process of investigation and government appeal against the release will be heard on merit".Court has adjourned the hearing of case for two weeks.Government during previous hearing took the plea that Col retired Inamur Rahim was arrested over the allegation of violating officials secretariat act, sharing sensitive and secret information.
