Anti-Dengue Day Observed At UVAS

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july, 2016) : The University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, observed dengue day on Monday and arranged various activities to create awareness about the menace of dengue fever. The day started with an awareness walk.

Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf led the walkwhile Dr Hassan Saleem, Dr Muhammad Oneeband a large number of faculty member and students participated. Later,the university premises were thoroughly cleaned to destroy possible breeding places for mosquitos larvae.

Fogging and spraying was also done on the university premises to minimise the risk of mosquito breeding and dengue transmission. The dengue monitoring committee of the UVAS also examined the campus and residential areas for mosquito larvae but no larva were found.
