IHC Seeks Regularization Policy From Establishment, Cabinet

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Dec, 2016 ) : Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday sought regularization policy from the Cabinet and Establishment Divisions in the matter of Federal contractual and daily wages employees.
Justice Athar Minallah passed the order while hearing the identical applications moved by the contractual and daily wages employees of the federal capital. During the course of proceedings, Additional Secretary Cabinet Shahrukh Nusrat and Additional Attorney General (AAG) Afnan Karim Kundi appeared before the bench for arguments.
The AAG apprised that a meeting in this regard had been held between Cabinet and Establishment Divisions and requested to grant some time for submitting reply over the issue.
Justice Siddiqui remarked that in 2011 a special committee of Cabinet Division introduced a policy to regularize the contractual and daily wages empolyees of various departments of the federal capital.
A number of people were benefited under that policy, he said inquiring that why this discrimination was being done with these employees. Subsequently, the bench while granting more time for reply adjourned the hearing of the case to date in office.
