RCB Confiscates Seven Truckload Goods Under Anti-encroachment Operation

RAWALPINDI,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july,2016) : Rawalpindi Cantonment board (RCB) has confiscated seven truckload goods from different markets in its operation against encroachments to make RCB areas encroachment free. The operation on the special instruction of Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) Dr.
Saima Shah has been intensified. According to RCB spokesman Qasir Mahmood, the operation is being conducted on daily basis and permanent and temporary encroachments are being removed. He said, encroachments particularly in congested markets were removed bringing a relief to commuters who are stranded in frequent traffic jams.
The illegal structures not only block the roads but also caused a lot of inconvenience to the customers visiting the busy markets.
He said, encroachments have been removed from Gawalmandi, Masrial Road, Tench Bhatta, Chungi No 22, Chor Chowk, Saddar Road and other areas.
Handcarts, counters, chairs, tables and other items of encroachers were also confiscated. He informed that the confiscated goods would not be returned to the encroachers and would be auctioned. The shopkeepers have been warned not to encroach space on roadside and keep their goods inside the shops otherwise strict action in accordance with the law would be taken.
