700,000 Trees To Be Planted In City

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july,2016) : District Coordination Officer (DCO) Nadir Chathha has directed officials to launch special tree plantation campaign in city. About 700,000 trees would be planted throughout the city, said DCO Nadir Chathha while chairing a meeting at DCO office here on Monday.
He said that plants would be given to school kids free of charge, under a special programme "one kid, one plant". He also directed to seek help from heads of the schools for making this campaign more successful.
The DCO also suggested to form committees at union council level for seeking assistance from respective UC chairman. Officials from Forest department would extend consultancy to make the campaign successful. He also asked the masses to take special care of plants, in order to promote greenery in the city.
