Punjab Govt To Offer Interest Free Loans To 4,50,000 Small Farmers

MULTAN,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july,2016) : Punjab government will provide Rs 13 billion to small farmers, as interest free loans and also give smartphones, with an objective to improve agriculture sector. Vice Chancellor Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture (MNSUA) Dr Asif Ali, in a statement, informed that 4,50,000 small farmers would avail the facility of loans and smartphones in line with multi-billion package, presented by Punjab government.
"For Rabi crops, an amount of Rs 25,000 will be given against per acre while the loan amount will be enhanced to Rs 40,000 during Khareef crops season. It is the first time that the facility is also being given to tenants which will bring revolution in the agriculture sector", he hoped.
