Former World Jr Squash Champion Sohail Hospitalized

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july,2016) - Former World Junior Squash Champion, Sohail Qaisar who is suffering from lung cancer has been hospitalized, following a stroke which paralyzed his right side. "Sohail who is fighting a battle with lung cancer, had a stroke a few days ago in Rawalpindi, where he had gone to see his relatives and has been admitted to Al-Shifa International Hostpital, Islamabad", said Gogi Allauddin, former world number two player and uncle of Sohail while talking to APP here on Monday. He disclosed that Sohail from PIA was diagnosed with lung caner few months back and he was under treatment and getting the doze of chemotherapy at Lahore on regular basis. "With the treatment, he was feeling better but the stroke which left his right side paralyzed has made his condition worse", he said, adding, he is in ICU and doctors are monitoring his condition.
Sohail is the only Pakistani player who has the distinction of winning the World Junior Squash title in mid 80s, besides winnng a number of squash titles in America including Dubai open. Gogi said the stroke has added to the ailment of Sohail and now he is getting treatment to come out of paralysis and cancer cure. "It is the most difficult time our family is facing and I appeal to the people of Pakistan to pray for his health, as he is bad shape and needs blessings of Allah Almighty", said a visibly shaken Gogi in a sad tone.
