UNIDO To Launch SEI Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july,2016) : The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) would launch Sustainable Energy Initiative (SEI) on Tuesday (26 july). The UNIDO is implementing a Global Environment Facility (GEF) funded project in the industrial sector and the launch of SEI is to avoid greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by developing and promoting a market environment, a press release stated.
This step will stimulate investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency project in industry which, in turn, will support industrial development in the country. UNIDO promotes sustainable energy solutions to assist industry in reducing their energy consumption, as well as using clean renewable energy in the most efficient manner for the enhancement of industrial competitiveness and productivity, while mainstreaming gender and increasing employment opportunities.
