AJK PM For Immediate Restructuring Of Auqaf Department

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Dec, 2016 ) , Dec 15 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Thursday ordered for immediate restructuring of Auqaf department.
Auqaf department's meeting was held at Prime Minister Secretariat and chaired by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider. The PM ordered for the increase in rent of its commercial property accordance with market rate, leasing of land through open biding, crackdown against illegal occupants of departmental land and activation of institute of higher studies.
Addressing the meeting, the PM directed to facilitate the pilgrims at tombs of the greater preachers of islam and avoid all sort of extra expenses. He emphasized on civil servants to come out for public service and fulfill their responsibilities.
He said the income from mausoleums must be spent on welfare of the religious visitors and related projects. The meeting decided to build a commercial plaza at departmental land along with the parking and other projects adjacent to Sian Saheeli Sarkar, Darbar e Aalia Kharri Sharif and Darbar Baba Shadi Shaheed must be completed in time.
The meeting also gave approval of departmental annual budget. Secretary Auqaf told the meeting that, on the direction of the PM financial discipline in the department has been ensured, all surplus posts have been abolished.
Chief Secretary Sakindar Sultan Raja, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Ahsaan Khaalid Kiani and other officers attended the meeting. Meanwhile a delegation from British Council Islamabad called on Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider and discussed the matters pertaining to AJK development.
Earlier a Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz delegation from Kotli led by Malik Muhammad Yusaf also called on the prime minister and conveyed him the public complaints regarding developmental issues and district administration.
