KP Govt. Restores Hacked Web Portal

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Dec, 2016 ) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has successfully restored its web portal that has been hacked and re-established operations through experts of Information Technology Department.

The hacker was also identified while sites managed by KP government are under scanning.

Restoration operation was completed in a very short time as per standard procedures, said a press release issued by IT Department here Thursday.

The hacker just replaced a picture on the home page of KP portal without any damage to data. The major web portals are kept under observation for the time being. Security mechanism has restricted the hacker to only minor defacement, it added.
