Meeting Discusses Opening New Campuses Of SALU

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2016 ) : A review meeting to start the Ghotki and Shahdadkot Campuses was held at the Vice Chancellor Secretariat Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur chaired by Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Parveen Shah, said press release on Tuesday.

Speaking to the participants of the meeting, the VC said that it is our commitment and endeavor to start the new campuses Ghotki and Shahdadkot because this step will promote the quality education to students of the remote areas of Sindh.

We are thankful to Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, under its umbrella scheme to establish new campuses across the country, she added. After detailed deliberation it was decided that the possession of the building will be taken.

Notice for Inviting Tenders (NITs) for furniture, fixtures, equipment and civil work will be floated within three days. It was decided that the new academic session 2017 will commence from the first week of March 2017 by establishing Departments of Computer Sciences & Information Technology, English Language & Literature and business Administration.

Pro-Vice Chancellor, Shikarpur Campus, Professor Dr Lutfullah Mangi, Professor Dr Noor Ahmed Shaikh, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences,Professor Dr Syed Noor Shah Bukhari, Professor Dr Taj Muhammad Lashari and others attended the meeting.
