Soomor Directs Joint Efforts For Peaceful Celebrations Of Rabi-ul-Awwal

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Dec, 2016 ) : Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Religious Affairs and Zakat & Usher Sindh, Dr Abdul Qayoom Soomro Saturday said that in cooperation with all the relevant departments strong and effective policy would be made to provide security and civic facilities during Rabi-ul-Awwal and especially on the occasion of Jashan-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
He said this while addressing a meeting with Ulema and relevant departments to review arrangements and measures regarding security, civic and other issues during Rabi-ul-Awwal at Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sukkur office here.
On this occasion, Ulema lauded the steps taken by Sindh Government during Muharram and on Chehlam to facilitate Shiites and hoped that the same facilities would also be provided for the Eid Miladun Nabi.
They ensured that the Ulema would fully cooperate with the administration and would work with, unity, good conduct, discipline and tolerance.
They also informed the meeting about their reservations, complaints and suggestions and requested for their resolution.
Dr Soomro assured that provincial government would provide better facilities than before and in this regard he directed all the relevant civic departments. He said in case of any difficulty the organizers of processions can contact the relevant deputy commissioners, police and rangers.
The deputy commissioners were directed to personally visit the processions along law enforcement agencies. On the Occasion, DIG Sukkur zone Syed Feroze Shah, Commissioner Sukkur Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Deputy Commissioner (DCs) , SSPs of the Sukkur, Khairpur and Ghotki districts and other relevant officers were also present.
