Anti-dengue Day To Be Observed On 23rd

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22th july, 2016) :An anti-dengue day will be observed here on Saturday (July 23) to create awareness among people. A spokesman for the City District Government told here on Friday that the district administration had chalked out a series of programmes for the day. He said an awareness seminar would be arranged at Lyallpur Complex by the District Health Department which would be presided over by DCO Salman Ghani. After the seminar, an awareness walk would also be organized from Lyallpur Complex to GTS Chowk for mobilizing the community against the dengue.

The banners/steamers inscribed with dengue awareness messages had been displayed at important roads, intersections, parks, bus stands, railway station and other public places by TMAs. The educational institutions would be opened especially for observing the day and awareness seminars/walks would be held in schools, colleges and universities.

Similar programmes will also be arranged by Social Welfare Department, Cooperative Department, WASA, FDA, Government Hospitals, Environment Department, Civil Defense, Faisalabad Arts Council, Auqaf, sports and other departments, he added.
