Full Bench Constituted To Hear Petitions Challenging Presidential Reference Against Justice Isa

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2019 ) :Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa Friday constituted a new full bench to hear petitions challenging the presidential reference filed against Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

The 10-member larger bench would be headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial and it is comprised Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Manzoor Malik, Justice Faisal Arab, Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, Justice Mansoor Ali shah, Justice Muneeb Akhter, Justice Yahya Afridi, and Justice Qazi Ahmed Amin.

The full bench will hear a set of petitions challenging the presidential reference on September 24.

A seven-judge bench of the apex court had dissolved after Munir A Malik, the counsel for Justice Qazi Faez Isa, had raised an objection and requested the court to constitute a new bench.

Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood recused themselves from hearing the case.
