Accused Judicial Remand Extended Till Oct 16, In Fake Accounts Case

An Accountability Court (AC) Friday extended the judicial remand till October 16, of an accused Khursheed Anwar Jamali who withdrew his plea bargain request in fake accounts scam
The accused was produced before AC-I Judge Muhammad Bashir after ending of his remand time. The judge allowed Jamali to leave after he marked attendance.
The accused had expressed willingness to return Rs57 million as plea bargain. However, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had estimated the amount as more than 100 million rupees. The court extended the judicial remand of the accused and sent him to Adiala Jail.
Meanwhile, the same court conducted hearing on a plea regarding the establishment of medical board for accused Abdul Ghani Majeed, the son of Omni Group's head Anwar Majeed.
Majeed's lawyer prayed the court to issue order for establishment of medical board to examine the health issues of his client, adding Surgeon Dr Shahid Rasool knew his clients medical condition.
To this NAB prosecutor said jail doctors were conducting check up of the accused regularly, adding Dr Rasool could be called if only he was recommended.
